It makes an excellent crystal for scrying work. Some think it’s what Nostradamus used to make his concave mirror out of. Black Obsidian can also be used for protection, especially in your spiritual studies.  Black Obsidian can also magnify negative energies to be experienced and released, heal past lives, and release past loves.
